For Immediate Release June 8, 2016
Last week on May 31st, thousands were affected by a strong line of storms that moved through the Western Suburbs. The Hinsdale Lake Terrace Apartments in unincorporated Willowbrook suffered severe damage to the roof. The roof damage caused 32 families to be displaced from their home and lose many of their possessions. Many people have lost their glasses and/or contact lenses.
On Thursday June 9th from 10am-12pm, Hinsdale Advanced Eye Care in partnership with Hinsdale Community Services will be providing free eye examinations and deeply discounted glasses to help the victims of the storm. “My heart goes out to the victims of the storm. It is hard to imagine what they are going through right now as their lives are turned upside down. It’s not much, but I hope I can help them in any way I can,” said Dr. Treacy Adamo owner of Hinsdale Advanced Eye Care and Hinsdale resident.
